But, in case you were curious, here's a little more information about me...

What's my name?

Paula Trapani-Wiener

How old am I?

Pretty old :)

When's my birthday?

February 23

Am I married?

I have been happily married since 2001.

Do I have any children?

In addition to my 800 or so LR "kids," I am the proud mother of a beautiful and amazing daughter (who is 12 years old) and a handsome and amazing son (who is 7 years old).

What's my job title?

Middle School Library Media Specialist (that's a fancier way of saying "librarian")

Have I ever worked in any other school or library?

Nope. This is my first and only job as a librarian...and I wouldn't want to work anywhere else.

What is my job exactly?

My job has many parts:
•Book specialist & reader’s advisor
•Information specialist
•Research specialist
•Technology specialist & technology trainer
•Library “manager” (book orders, budgeting, etc.)

Is my job boring?

No way!!!
Look at the list of stuff I do--I’m busy all the time, every day is different, and I get to be around books, computers, and kids all day! How could I ever be bored?!?

So, the hardest question to ask a librarian is, "What's your favorite book?" There are simply too many to name! I can say, though, that my favorite genre is realistic fiction.
As for some of my favorite books and/or authors, here are a few (in no particular order)...
*Walk Two Moons and pretty much everything else Sharon Creech wrote
*The Giver by Lois Lowry
*The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
*Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

I love all kinds of music--my iPod is pretty much packed with music ranging from U2 to Journey to The Fray to The Kooks to just about everything in between. But, my absolute favorite group of all time is The Beatles. In fact, my daughter was named after a Beatles song :)

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I am sort of a TV junkie. I watch a little of everything.
I love: reality shows like: Top Chef, Project Runway, and Survivor; sitcoms like: Modern Family, 30 Rock, and Curb Your Enthusiasm; and dramas like: Dexter, Fringe, and Sons of Anarchy.

There are too many movies to name, but here are a few I really like (they're the ones I'll always stop and watch if I find them while I'm channel surfing)...
*Pretty much any 80s teen movie like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Pretty in Pink
*When Harry Met Sally
*Love Actually
*The Sound of Music
